COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

Colorado’s students lag behind the national average when it comes to reading. The Colorado Department of Education needed a campaign that encouraged reading outside the classroom, with a 60-second TVC as the centerpiece. While tempting to romanticize reading as something that took place in a cozy armchair, we needed to demonstrate to busy, working parents that reading can happen even in the least glamorous of places.

MY ROLE

As the lead art director on this campaign, my role varied wildly from things such as illustrating, concepting, and sourcing assets for a TV spot, on-set art direction, location and talent scouting, designing swag items such as bookmarks, totes, magnets and stickers, and creating assets for social and out of home.
