March 26th - Brain-Turn-Off

Betsy’s post from a couple days ago reminded me that it’s been a second since I’ve watched easy, brain-turn-off TV. …And that sometimes easy, brain-turn-off TV is just what the body needs.

Today at 4pm, I was done. This week wiped me out and I needed to finish a couple hours early. Hey, I called out. Wanna watch a movie right now?

Austin usually has meetings all day on Fridays, so I wasn’t expecting him the resounding, Yesssss! I do I do!

I already knew which one I was going to watch, and it wasn’t what Austin was expecting. As I opened up the Netflix app, he gave me a look. I clicked into my saved titles, and scrolled over until I found what I was looking for.

This isn’t Avengers Infinity War… Austin and I have been bingeing the Marvel movies, and we’re finally onto what he deems “the good ones”. While it’s been very enjoyable, it’s not exactly mind-numbing television. Crazy Stupid Love, however, I have watched at least 5 times and could watch it another 5 more without issue.

Throughout the 90 minutes, my mind shut off. I laughed, Austin laughed, and I felt myself relax. Crazy Stupid Love was everything I needed it to be.
