University of Michigan’s art school didn’t really have any illustration classes, so I didn’t happen upon this art form until I studied abroad in Florence my junior year of college. After that, it became a very quick obsession.

I decided to do my entire senior thesis on an illustration piece, creating my own children’s book, which just further confirmed my sneaking suspicion that this is what I was meant to do.

A few of these pieces were done for my mom’s super cool teaching blog that she runs with a few other very smart ladies, which you can check out here: www.twowritingteachers.org.
