University of Michigan’s art school didn’t really have any illustration classes, so I didn’t happen upon this art form until I studied abroad in Florence my junior year of college. After that, it became a very quick obsession.
I decided to do my entire senior thesis on an illustration piece, creating my own children’s book, which just further confirmed my sneaking suspicion that this is what I was meant to do.
