blue bear creative
During my time at Blue Bear, I’ve gone from intern to contract worker to full-timer. I currently work as the lead illustrator within a four person design team. On any given day, I am brainstorming, ideating content, copywriting, creating mockups and final products, designing emails, and creating photography, both on and off-site.
Working at such a small company has been a total dream because I’m able to do a little bit of everything.
This first project is a work in progress of a series of beer coasters/other paraphernalia I’m making for one of our brands.
NATIONAL MAC AND CHEESE DAY
I completed this next project for Noodles & Co. for National Mac and Cheese Day. Taking comments from fans from previous years, I concepted and created illustrations to communicate what each fan would do for a full year of free mac and cheese. For example, for that first one the fan wrote that he would hug a cactus. I’ll let you see if you can guess the rest :-)
Mocks, mocks, mocks. Mock ups are a huge part of pitching any project or piece to a client. When concepts are particularly complex, it’s important to show your client exactly what the final image might look like. Illustration can be a huge help in that. These are some of my favorite mocks that I’ve worked on. I’ve included click-through links to those that have final products so you can see what the final images ended up looking like!
